Lavina 'Louise' McNair

Lavina "Louise" McNair, 86, died March 29, 2006, at St. John's Lutheran Hospital in Libby.

She was born on March 7, 1920, at home in Rexford to William Alford DeShazer and Mary Bessie Bandy. She attended school in Rexford and Eureka.

She married Michael S. "Mickey" McNair on May 5, 1937, in Kalispell. She worked as a waitress and cook at the Husky Restaurant. She was known for her pies. Her hobbies included painting, gardening, knitting sweaters and bowling. She had a great love for the outdoors, fishing, archery and trapping.

She was preceded in death by her husband Mickey McNair and a grandson Shawn Huffman.

Survivors include four children: May and Roger Baeth of Libby; Missoula; Mike and Jeri McNair, Marysville, Wash.; Mary Beth and Kenneth Alkire of Libby; and Roland and Janie McNair of Libby; brothers and sisters; Addie May Irgram, Olen DeShazer, Opal Paolini, Thomas DeShazer, Jack DeShazer, Ralph "Ray" DeShazer, Willis "Happy" DeShazer and Donald DeShazer; 18 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and a friend Donald Hodges.

Visitation will be Thursday, May 11, at the Nelson and Vial Funeral Home in Libby. Services will be Friday, May 12, 2006, at 3 p.m. at the Christ Lutheran Church.
