Audrey Siefke

Mary "Audrey" Siefke, 87, died Saturday, April 22, 2006, in Sandpoint, Idaho, at the home of her daughter Mary Baenen following a bout with cancer.

Audrey was born on Feb. 18, 1919, in Richwood, W.Va., the daughter of Albert and Polly (Spence) White and sister of Elmer, Thirl and Ray.

She moved with her family at an early age to Priest River, Idaho, and Newport, Wash., and grew up in that area prior to moving to Troy. She lived in Troy most of her adult life.

Audrey was known for the twinkle in her blue eyes and her spunkiness, generosity and kindness to others. She loved life and bravely lived without fear of loving or trusting others. She loved her children Larry Carlson, Shirley Cripe, Bob Carlson and Mary Baenen.

Survivors include son Bob Carlson, daughters Shirley Cripe and Mary Baenen, nine grandchildren, and numerous great- and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Elmer, son Larry, Walt Carlson, Ben Baenen, Paul Siefke, Les Basham and many of her friends.
