Christine Siefke McGuire

Christine Siefke McGuire, 52, died Tuesday, March 28, 2006, at Brenden House in Kalispell.

She had been a longtime employee of the Libby Care Center, serving as a CNA there for more than 15 years.

Christine was born at Libby on January 1, 1954, to William and Margaret Siefke. She was raised and educated at Libby, graduating from Libby High School in 1974.

She previously had been employed by Lincoln County in the county annex building until becoming employed by the Libby Care Center where she brought much joy to the residents during her 15 years of service there.

She married David McGuire Aug. 10, 1985, at Libby.

She was known by many for her excellent handcraft work of all types, especially knitting, crocheting and embroidery work. Christine also had been an excellent cook as well as an animal lover and avid fisherman. She was preceded in death by her father, Bill Siefke, in 1969.

She is survived by her husband David of Libby; her mother, Margaret Siefke Halvorson of Libby; sisters Wanda Siefke Grosche and husband David of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Deborah Siefke Pement and companion Mark Zink of Lewiston, Idaho; brothers Daniel Siefke of Missoula and Milferd Siefke and wife Ann of Libby; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 2 p.m. on Monday, April 3, at at the Nelson & Vial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment services will follow at the City of Libby Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 1 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, April 2.
