Bobby Seybold

Bobby Dewayne Seybold, 74, of Libby, died in his home on Sunday, March 26, 2006.

He was born July 5, 1931, to Lloyd and Nellie Ridgely Seybold in Haigler, Neb.

He served in the U.S. Marine Corps in Korea from 1951 to 1954. He married Cleta M. Daniels on Aug. 22, 1953, and they had three children.

Bobby traveled and worked the continental United States. He was a construction worker, roughneck, auto mechanic, volunteer firefighter, and an ambulance attendant in Nebraska in the 1960s.

He moved with his family to Libby in 1970, where he worked for St. Regis. He lost his right hand in a mill accident in 1971. He later worked at Montana Development Center for two years before returning to Libby. After the death of wife Cleta in 1986, he married Georgia R. Rogers from Boulder on May 31, 1989, and they lived in Libby until his passing.

Bobby enjoyed fishing and hunting and being out doors enjoying the Montana scenery and animals, doing mechanics, motorcycles, and telling stories of his life to his grandchildren.

In addition to his first wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Lois and Delores, grandson Weston, great-grandson Dillon Hazel, and stepson James Rogers.

He is survived by his wife Georgia of Libby; son Gary of Missoula; daughters Theresa Talbott of Libby and Melinda and husband Ricky Mercer of Rogers, Ark.; stepchildren Pamela and Paul Kemp of Bullhead, Ariz., Wayne and Linda Rogers of Helena, Leasu Rogers Miller of Rock Springs, Wyo., Lori Badder of Midland, Mich., and Terri and husband Mark Bennett of Kalispell; grandchildren Misty Rego, Sadie Hazel, Leslie Seybold, Stuart Mercer, Toni Mercer, Shawn and Michell Williams, TW Williams, Teresa Williams, Michael Kemp, Shane and Marissa Badder, Charley, Brandon, Jeramy, and Tiffany Badder, Trish and Dee Jay Poynter, Josh and Cory Rogers and James Rogers; and great-grandchildren Scot Lane, Sierra Poynter and Ataliya Williams.

Visitation will be from 1-8 p.m. on Thursday, March 30, and services will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 31, at the Nelson & Vial Funeral Home in Libby.
