Rudolph Kaeding

Rudolph Henry Kaeding, 73, died Saturday, March 4, 2006, at Indian River Hospital in Vero Beach, Fla.

He was born April 30, 1932, in Kalispell, to Edward and Anna Stuefloten Kaeding. He grew up and attended school in Kalispell and graduated from Flathead High School in 1952.

He married Erma James on Dec. 21, 1951. They made their home in the Flathead where Rudy worked as a logger. In 1959 they moved to Libby. In 1960 he went to work at W.R. Grace where he worked for 30 years, retiring in 1990.

He enjoyed wood working, fishing, activities with the family and gardening. He was a Pilgrim in the Moose Lodge.

His grandson Alex Noble, three brothers, three sisters and three nephews preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Erma of Sebstain, Fla.; children Patti Noble and husband Mike of Libby, Frank Kaeding and wife Gloria of Evaston, Wash., Anna Edwards and husband Gary of Sela, Wash., Judi Foss and husband Bruce of Libby, and Donna Tholen and husband Duane of Libby; sister Peg Gastin of Helena; and 14 grandchildren, Mycale, Jami, Tricia, Tonia, Travis, Troy, Tiffany, Jessi, Paul, Kaedi, Todd, Mandi, David and Dyane.

Services will be held at 2p.m. on Friday at Christ Lutheran Church in Libby. Visitation will be from 1 to 8 on Thursday. Local arrangement are by the Nelson & Vial Funeral Home in Libby.
