Bob LeCount

Robert A. "Bob" LeCount, 48, a former Libby and Troy resident, died Wednesday, June 7, 2006, in Springfield, Ore.

He was born in Libby on Sept. 17, 1957, to the late Virgil and Dolly LeCount.

Robert graduated from Troy High School in 1976 as salutatorian.

He attended Montana Tech in Butte for two years before returning to the Libby and Troy area.

Robert married the former Cheryl Clairmont on Oct. 15, 1983.

They resided in Libby where he had been employed by St. Regis Paper Co., Champion International and Stimson Lumber before moving to Springfield in 2003. In Springfield, he had been a plywood plant supervisor for Rosboro Lumber.

Bob enjoyed being with his family as well as serving with his wife as a foster parent to 109 children.

Bob loved the outdoors of the northwestern United States, enjoying trips to the ocean, hunting, fishing and riding quads.

Survivors include his wife of Springfield; children, Brian and Erin LeCount, both of Libby, and Daniel, Jade and Jordan LeCount, all of Springfield; his sisters, Kathy Nagel and her husband. Mel, of Pineland, Texas, Julia Alyea of Sterling, N.D.; and brothers Alford LeCount of Troy, Virgene LeCount and his wife, Geneva, of Spokane, Michael LeCount of Troy, Steven LeCount of Columbia Falls and Terry LeCount of Eureka.

Services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the Nelson and Vial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Les Nelson officiating.

Interment services will follow at the City of Libby Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 1-8 p.m. Tuesday.
