Libby becomes a second home for Provider Pals teacher

| July 12, 2006 12:00 AM

To the Editor:

Libby has become a second home to me, even if it is only for one week out the year.

Each year I am lucky enough to be included in the Provider Pal Camp held at Historic Raven Ranger Station. I look forward to my week of Montana's natural beauty. Not just for the great opportunities the camp offers for me and my school children, but for Libby and its people.

Libby is a town that welcomes all with open arms. The Northwest is not generally known for its hospitality but I am here to tell you it exists in your small town. It has the hometown feeling of years ago. A small town charm where everyone knows everyone. Even as an "out-of-towner" I am recognized as one of the "Provider Pal teachers." Wherever I go in Libby someone is always there to strike up a conversation.

Growing up and living in a city as big as Little Rock with nearly 190,000 people, it is so nice to know that such a personable town is still out there.

Thank you for being what most of us long for - a home away from home with sincere warmth and hospitality that is second to none.

And a big thank you to all you Vincents for allowing me to be part of the Provider Pals family.
