Donald Davis

Donald A. Davis, 70, of Troy, died Saturday, Dec. 31, 2005, at St. John's Lutheran Hospital from natural causes.

He was born Oct. 10, 1935, in Seattle, Wash., to James and Mildred Wheeler Davis. He grew up on an orchard in Cashmere, Wash., with his three sisters, Renee, Mary and Carol.

He later moved to Idaho where he worked as a logger for most of his life. He moved to Troy in 1997. He enjoyed music, singing, dancing, hunting, fishing, camping and playing practical jokes.

Two children Tera Lee and Terry Davis, as well as one grandchild preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife Dollene Davis of Troy; children Rocky Davis and Denzil Davis, both of Arkansas, Valerie Davis and husband Jeff of Libby, Angeliana Davis, Lonnie Davis, Tammy Davis, Lonnie Davis and Cordelia Davis, all of Idaho, Willy Davis of Seattle and Orin Davis of Spokane; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday. Local arrangements are by the Nelson & Vial Funeral Home in Libby.
