To the Editor:
I really hate to keep beginning letters to the editor with "Just when I thought things around here couldn't get any goofier," but with the Libby City Council's latest act of fiscal generosity, I don't know what else to say.
At their meeting on Feb. 6, they approved a special 5-year tax break on city taxes to Munro Investments for the new mall where the Caboose Restaurant used to be. I had no idea Craig was so poor, the city was so flush, and the Libby community is in such dire need of another casino that it has to be subsidized.
When is the next election?
