Bill Crill

William "Bill" DeHale Crill, 67, former Libby resident, died Thursday, Feb. 2, 2006, at his home in Willard, Utah, of cardiac arrest.

Bill was born on Sept. 10, 1938, in Orrville, Ohio, a son of Harold and Marguerite Faul Crill. After high school Bill joined the U.S. Marine Corps and upon discharge went back to Orrville for a short time before moving to Brigham City, Utah, where he worked as a carpenter for many years.

He moved his family to Libby in 1964 and went to work at St. Regis Paper Co. for nine years. Bill married Darlena Chapman on April 2, 1984, in Willard, Utah. He worked for W.R. Grace and worked as a boiler engineer until mine closed in 1990.

Bill loved the outdoors and he was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed raising pigeons and wild game birds.

Surviving are his wife, Darlena of Willard, Utah; children Donald Crill and Marguerite (Wade) Kvapil, both of Libby, Derri Schrader, Bill Crill, Holly and Heather Crill, all of Brigham City, Utah, Kelly Burden and Bryan Burden, both of Brigham City, Utah; stepdaughters Jolene Morrison of Austin, Minn., and Katrina (Eddie) Fuller of Perry, Iowa; stepson Steven Backen of Rapid City, S.D.; 15 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephew.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Ned and Harold Crill and sister Marlene Brillhart.

It was William's desire to be cremated and his remains scattered in the mountains of Montana. It was his desire not to have a memorial service.
