Wiley 'Buck' Buckner

Wiley A. "Buck" Buckner, 83, of Libby died Monday, Dec. 4, 2006, at St. John's Lutheran Hospital from natural causes.

He was born June 20, 1923, in Huntley to Wiley and Minnie Campbell Buckner.

Buck grew up in Huntley and Billings and graduated from Billings High School.

After high school, he entered the U.S. Army Air Corps and served in Africa and Europe during World War II. After his honorable discharge from the service, Buck worked as a carpenter and a body and paint man in Arizona.

He loved being a cowboy and going to rodeos. Buck was one of the original members of the Hells Angels.

His parents and a brother, Enos, preceded him in death.

Survivors include a special friend Claudia Stevens of Libby; children Randy Buckner of Libby and Yvonne Buckner of Arizona; grandchildren Randy, Ronnie and Colt; great-grandchildren Bradley, Dylan and Allasandra; brothers Bill Buckner of Minnesota and Buzz Buckner of Billings; sisters Pauline Cramer and Minnie Hohen, both of Arizona, Cassa Jane Thom of Long Beach, Calif., and Kathryn Shaw of California.

Services were held Saturday, Dec. 9, at Nelson & Vial Funeral Home in Libby.
