Roberta McKinzie

Former Libby resident Roberta "Berta" Hill McKinzie, 46, of Florence died Saturday, Nov. 25, 2006.

The daughter of Jim and Wanda Hill, she was born Dec. 31, 1959, in Whitefish. She grew up in Libby and was a graduate of Libby High School.

To Berta, family and friends were paramount. She loved big gatherings, camping, picking huckleberries and playing with her granddaughters. She is remembered for her outgoing personality, infectious laugh and mischievous nature.

She is survived by her parents; her husband Mark, son Jacob and daughter-in-law Jessica, son Travis, and granddaughters, Emmily and Sara, all of Florence; father-in-law Richard McKinzie of Lolo; sister-in-law Pamela McKinzie of Spokane, Wash.; sisters Nita Hill, Diane Brown, Becky Hill, Robin Longprie and Jaime Murray; a brother Daniel Hill; and many friends, cousins, aunts and uncles.

She was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Irene Mae McKinzie.

Memorial services were held Saturday, Dec. 2, at Lolo Community Church.
