Donna McCully

Longtime Libby resident Donna L. McCully, 63, died on Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2005, at St. John's Lutheran Hospital.

She was born on Sept. 19, 1942, at Belvidere, Ill., to Leslie and Opal McClinton Knipprath.

When Donna was a year old the family moved to Libby, where Donna would spend the rest of her life.

She grew up in the old Hilliard house and attended Libby schools.

Donna married Vernon (Jumbo) McCully at Missoula on April 30, 1959.

Together they built a home on Farm to Market Road where they raised their family.

Donna especially enjoyed square dancing. She also enjoyed crocheting, sewing and knitting.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and a sister.

Survivors inlude her husband Jumbo, Libby; children Marc McCully and his wife Devi, Libby; Debbie Schnetter and her husband Steve, Libby; Vernie McCully, Sandpoint, Idaho; Bart McCully and his wife Patty, Libby; brother Joe Knipprath, Medford, Ore.; sisters Wilma Shearer and her husband Bud, Libby and Annabelle Fales and her husband Bill, Casper, Wyo., grandchildren Jennifer, Aaron and Anna and great-grandchild Katyrie.

Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 4, at the Nelson & Vial Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 1-8 p.m. on Monday.
