Request made to publish sex offenders' names

To the Editor:

I am a 911 dispatcher and am aware probably more that most other citizens of the number of sex and violent offenders in our area. I also know this information is accessible on the Internet, but we have a lot of citizens in our area that don't have Internet access. I am asking your newspaper to publish the names and addresses of those offenders in Lincoln County in your weekly paper. The Missoulian publishes their offenders on a weekly schedule and I think our citizens also need to know who is living next door to them. With all of the terrible stories across the nation lately, we can't have the "it will never happen here" attitude!

Would you please consider publishing the names and addresses of the offenders that live in our county?
