Cynthia Lester

Cynthia Renee Lester, 39, died Oct. 14, 2005 in Minot, N.D., due to complications of diabetes.

Born July 24, 1966, in Kalispell, Cindy was raised and educated in Libby and graduated with the Class of 1985.

She lived in various cities throughout Montana before moving to Minot in 1991. She later attended Minot State University where she received a bachelor's degree of science in social work in 1998.

Cindy loved being outdoors whether it be riding her bicycle, throwing horseshoes, fishing or camping. She was also an avid reader of Stephen King novels.

Always an optimist, Cindy was able to focus on the positive and make light of her adversities through humor and a contagious smile. She will be deeply missed by all of those who were blessed to have known her kind, gentle and giving nature.

She is survived by her father, Thomas Lester, Sidney; sister, Terri Ammons, Cheyenne, Wyo.; three nieces, Connor, Madison and McColloh Lamorie, Cheyenne; childhood friend, Donald Kaeding of San Francisco; close friend and companion, Larry Bruhn, Minot, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Her mother, Ruth, preceded her in death in February 2003.

Memorial services were held on Thursday, Oct. 20, at the Zion Lutheran Church in Fairview with Pastor Rick Green officiating. Musical selections were provided by Ellen Croy. Interment of cremains will be in the Yellowstone Point Cemetery in Cartwright, N.D., under the direction of Fulkerson Funeral Home of Sidney.
