Colleen Robinson

Colleen Leon Robinson of Troy died Nov. 4, 2005.

She was born in Meadow Grove, Neb., in 1943.

Colleen married John Richard Robinson in 1955 in Vancouver, Wash. Together they lived in Vancouver, Vista, Calif., Bonners Ferry, Idaho, Lake Tahoe, Calif., and Murfreesboro, Tenn. During their marriage they built a successful construction company. John died in 1974 in Murfreesboro, Tenn.

She lived in Troy for 21 years with her partner, Merl Labor. Together they formed Labor and Company Construction Co. Merl died in 1994.

Colleen is well-known in Troy for her sense of humor, famous deviled eggs and loving nature. She loved the ocean, the mountains, collecting cookbooks, and antiques, traveling in her camper, music, helping anyone who was down and out, painting pictures, sunshine, swimming and her beloved dogs Lucy and Bruiser.

Colleen was preceeded in death by her husbands John Robinson and Merl Labor, and her brother Corky.

She is survived by her four children Karen, Cindy, Johnny and Tina; her sister Kay Kleveland of San Diego, Calif., her brother Ken; three grandchildren — Alicia and Cory Moore and Hayden Stephens; Becky Swarz of Couer d' Alene; and Jeannie Allenberg of Hawaii.

Colleen touched many lives during her lifetime and she helped countless people with her big heart and generosity. Many people called her "mom."

She will be missed.
