Resident mourns loss of dog to neighborhood poisoner
To the Editor:
This letter is to whoever decided to poison our dogs.
Petey was a very loyal dog. He was sweet and never had done any harm to anything. We found him barely breathing and holding onto his life by a thread. He died about ten minutes later. I believe he was only waiting for me and my husband to find him and tell him goodbye.
Chloe, on the other hand, was lucky to have survived. She must not have eaten as much of whatever it was you put out for them. You can say you didn't know whose dogs they were but, in this neighborhood it would not have been hard to find out!
You had no right whatsoever to take matters into your own hands. So why couldn't you have just come and told us if our dogs were being bothersome?
I think you are a demented person to knowingly put out a substance that would kill a family's pet. I think you are sick, we loved Petey like he was a child. I hope you wouldn't have done that if he had been human!
I'd like, lastly, to let you know you've torn my world apart. I miss my little Petey dog very much. There is no excuse for people like you!
