Lester Booth

Lester Edwin Booth, 55, of Noxon, died on Sunday, May 1, 2005, at St. John's Lutheran Hospital, of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident near Libby.

He was born on June 22, 1950, at Meshoppen, Pa., to Cuff and Carole Welch Johnson.

Lester grew up at Noxon, where he attended school, graduating from Noxon High School in 1970.

After high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps.

When he returned to Noxon he worked in logging and construction, including work on the Libby Dam Project.

He married Rosalie Bitterman on June 8, 1978, at Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.

Lester enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Survivors include his wife, Rosalie Booth, Noxon; two children, April Bowe and her husband Roby, Libby, and Bonnie Booth, Noxon; his parents Charles and Carole Booth, Libby; brothers Dave Johnson and his wife Sandy, Thompson Falls, Larry Johnson and his wife Kathy, Missoula, and Steve Johnson of Alabama and six grandchildren.

Private family services are being conducted.

Local arrangements are by the Nelson & Vial Funeral Home.
