Don Greenley II

Don Harrison Greenley II, (Scooter), was born on July 9, 1983 at Billings, and died on April 28, 2005, in California.

He grew up in Tempe, Ariz., where he graduated from Mountain Pointe High School with the Class of 2001. His passions were music, playing the clarinet, saxophone and guitar, basketball, running and skateboarding. He enlisted in theU.S. Air Force in December 2003 and was assigned to the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, Calif., as a Chinese language student.

In addition to being an excellent student, Don was a long distance runner for the Air Force DLI team.

Survivors include his parents David and Kathy Pietz, Tempe, and David and Angel Greenley of Billings; sisters Danni and Melissa Pietz, Tempe; grandparents Ted and Joan Pacheco, Libby, Joyce Pietz, Billings, and Jean Greenley, Billings, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

He is also survived by countless people whose lives he touched and close friends who will miss him.

Don's personality was infectious and he learned at a young age that he could encourage others while succeeding himself.

Funeral services were conducted at 4 p.m. on Tuesday at Resthaven Funeral Home in Phoenix, Ariz., and a memorial service will be conducted at 4 p.m. on Friday, May 6, at Smith West Chapel in Billings.

An additional memorial service will be held for the Air Force at the Presidio of Monterey, Monterey, Calif.
