Dorothy Mann

Dorothy A. Mann, 83, of Libby, died Sunday, Feb. 27, 2005, at Libby Care Center.

She was born on a homestead near Hudson, Wyo., on Sept. 2, 1921, to Robert and Barbara Geiger Pomeroy.

Dorothy grew up and attended school in Maumee, Ohio, graduating from Monclova High School.

She attended college classes at the University of Toledo.

Dorothy married Robert Mann in 1941 and they lived at Highpoint, N.C. and for a short time at Camp Crowder, where their daughter Becky as born.

Robert Mann was shipped out and Dorothy returned to Toledo, where she helped manage the family sign shop.

In 1970, the Manns bought land on Lake Creek near Troy, and in 1976 they moved to Troy, where they owned and operated Tri Valley Screen Print.

Dorothy enjoyed politics, reading, automobile trips and her grandchildren. One of her biggest thrills was to see her son graduate from West Point.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert, a brother and a sister.

Survivors include her children, Becky and her husband Ron Toczek, Libby; son William Mann and his wife Anne-Marie, Pensacola, Fla.; daughter Amy Contrada and her husband Michael, Acton, Mass.; daughter Melissa Stinebaugh and her husband Will, Warner Robins, Ga.; Barbara Mann, Toledo, Ohio, and grandchildren Kevin, Holly, Tasha, Brigham, Lucas, Hayden, Aaron, Anthony and Claudia, and one great-grandchild, Max.

Graveside services were conducted at 1 p.m. on Wednesday at Milnor Lake Cemetery.

Arrangements are by the Nelson & Vial Funeral Home.
