Wayne Paxton

Wayne E. Paxton, 53, a resident of Libby for the past five years, died on Wednesday, June 22, 2005, at St. John's Lutheran Hospital.

He was born on June 19, 1952, at Long Beach, Calif., to James E. Paxton Sr., and Hulda Ainslie Paxton.

Raised and educated in southern California and Oregon, Wayne served a tour of duty with the U.S. Navy in Vietnam.

He and his wife Faith celebrated their silver wedding anniversary on April 8, 2005.

Wayne had worked for many years as a commercial and long-haul driver.

An ardent sports enthusiast, Wayne especially enjoyed football and basketball and was a fan of the Broncos and the Gonzaga Bulldogs.

He was preceded in death by his mother and by a daughter Nova.

Survivors include his wife Faith, Libby, his children Crystal, Shantae, Violet, Shavon, Amber, Joshua and Rhiannon, his father and step-mother, Jim and Beth Paxton, a brother Jim Paxton Jr., and nine grandchildren.

Private services are under direction of the Nelson & Vial Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
