Morey Price

| June 15, 2005 12:00 AM

Maurice L. (Morey) Price, 77, died on Thanksgiving eve, Nov. 24, 2004, surrounded by loving family members at his home in Libby where he had lived for 17 years.

Morey owned and operated Music Warehouse in Libby, and his second love, after his family, was country music.

Many times musicians would drop by and jam with him in the store. He was known and loved by family members and friends for his musical talent, beautiful voice and his corny jokes that everyone loved and endured.

Morey is survived by Shirley, the love of his life; his children, Judi and David Heller, Rochester, Minn., Sherrie and John Royer, Crownsville, Md., Gary Phoenix, Libby, Gail Phoenix, Mesa, Ariz., Darcee and Steve Cichosz, Libby, Lonnie Price, Dawn and Mike Andrews, Prosser, Wash., Robin and David Howell, Kuna, Idaho, and Jill and Randy Bullard, Queen Creek, Ariz.

He is also survived by 31 devoted grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Although Morey will be greatly missed, he will be remembered and his legacy will live on in his music and the family that he loved so much.

His family is especially grateful for Hospice and memorials may be made to Hospice and the Cancer Society.

Memorial services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Monday, June 20, at the Assembly of God Church.

Friends are asked to join in a celebration of Morey's life at a reception at the church following the memorial service.

Morey's family is grateful to Nelson & Vial Funeral Home for taking care of arrangements.
