Helen Melich

Helen M. Melich, 72, died June 10, 2005, at Libby.

Helen came to Libby in June 2001 from Tulelake, Calif., where she had lived for many years.

She was born on July 22, 1932, at Dorris, Calif., to Paul Holder and Myrtle Wilson Holder and was raised and educated in northern California.

Helen had worked as a restaurant cook in California and Oregon for many years.

A musician with many talents, Helen played the piano, organ, accordion and guitar and enjoyed sharing her talents, especially playing in church.

She was preceded in death by husbands William Amos and Scott Seto.

Survivors include her husband Henry of Libby; her children Terry Amos and his wife Lolita, Libby, Tim Amos and his wife Susie, Libby, Debbie Wallin, Great Falls, Randy Amos and his wife Misty, Kenny Amos and his wife Helen and Kevin Amos and his wife Nancy, all of Libby; step-children Janice Underley and her husband Ed, Grande Ronde, Ore., Fred Amos and his wife Rose, Gridley, Calif., and Sandra Adams and her husband David of Libby.

Helen is also survived by siblings Ted Holder, Sutherland, Calif., Agnes Bowman, Myrtle Point, Ore., Chuck Holder, Thermalito, Calif., Elva Amos of Libby, Dorothy Holidy and Gerie Holder, both of Bridge, Ore., 22 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren, as well as nuerous nieces and nephews and longtime friend Leona Simmons.

Viewing will be on Thursday, June 16, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., at the Nelson & Vial Funeral Home.

Private family services will be conducted.
