Darrin Cody

Darrin L. Cody, 34, of Troy, died on Thursday, June 2, 2005, as the result of injuries received in a vehicle accident near Troy.

He was born on Sept. 11, 1970, at Libby, to Robert and Betty Cody and was raised and educated at Troy, graduating from Troy High School in 1989.

Darrin worked as a driller in Alaska before returning to Troy where he was employed by the Genesis Mining Company.

An avid outdoorsman and hunter, Darrin enjoyed hiking into some of the most remote places in the Cabinet Wilderness.

He also enjoyed people, especially his family and friends.

Survivors include his wife Sabreena, his children Jenna and Tanner and his parents Bob and Betty Cody, all of Troy; his brothers and sister, Ed McKinzie of Elko, Nev., Ken McKinzie, Libby, Mike McKinzie, Troy, Amy Hanson and Chad Boyd, both of Spokane, and his grandparents, Louis and Pearl Hile, Pitcher, Okla., along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Services were conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at the Troy Church of God with the Rev. Gene Bushnell officiating. Interment followed at Milnor Lake Cemetery.

Arrangements were under the care of the Nelson & Vial Funeral Home.
