Disturbing to find plant missing at cemetery
To the Editor:
I found it very disturbing on Monday, July 25, when I went to the Libby cemetery to visit my husband and to water his hanging plant to find it missing from the shepherd's hook that has been there since Memorial Day weekend.
I cannot imagine anybody being "in need" of a plant so badly that they would actually steal one from a loved one's grave site. Or that anybody would think that it was just a "funny little prank."
Obviously the person who took it has never lost someone in their life that meant the world to their family and friends. If only we would have known we would have bought you one of your own because we wouldn't want anyone to go without.
This community has been wonderful to us since the loss of Greg and we thank you for that. But it is just so unfortunate that there are a few that haven't learned to respect other people's property. So I hope you enjoy the plant, but please water it every day, as we did when we went to visit our loving husband and Dad, Greg Kambel.
