Development behind Savage Lake could stop access to falls

To the Editor:

The area directly behind Savage Lake is going to be part of a development that could stop all access to the Creek Falls by the general public.

The falls is on Forest Service ground and immediately behind the Cabinet Mountain Wilderness. If the adjacent private property is sold, the public will lose access.

The Falls is and always has been an area used by the public for recreation and as access into the wilderness.

If you folks have concerns as I do, please stop by most of the businesses in Troy and sign the petitions or contact our county commissioners and let them know how much the Falls means to you.
