Edward Dapiewicz

A memorial service for Edward Dapiewicz will be conducted on Tuesday, July 5, at 11 a.m. at the Nelson & Vial Funeral Home.

Dapiewicz, 56, died on Oct. 2, 2004, at Baker. He was the husband of former Libby resident Loretta Lindsey.

Edward was born on July 24, 1948, at Phillipsburg, N.J., to Edward and Ethal Dapkiewicz. He attended school at Phillipsburg and entered the U.S. Air Force in January 1967, serving two tours of duty in Vietnam.

After 20 years of service, Edward retired from the Air Force as a master sergeant.

He married Loretta Lindsey on May 6, 1989, at Baker.

Edward enjoyed hunting, re-loading, watching NASCAR, using the computer and cooking.

He was a member of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars at Baker.

Edward was preceded in death by his mother and brother-in-law Gary Lindsey.

Survivors include his wife Loretta, Baker; his father Edward Dapkiewicz, Bethlehem, Pa., son Brian Dapkiewicz, Topeka, Kan.; daughter Heather Powell, Joplin, Mo.; brothers Bernard, Stephen, David and Robert; father-in-law Gordon Lindsey, Libby and grandchildren Brenen, Hanna, Taylor and Hayley.
