Howard Orr

Howard Orr, 62, of Libby, died on Friday, Feb. 4, 2005, at St. John¹s Lutheran Hospital.

He was born on Feb. 7, 1942, at Libby, to Ed and Charlotte Orr.

Raised and educated at Libby, Howard had a long and varied career in the lumber industry, working first as a lathe operator at the St. Regis plywood plant in Libby and later as a logger, crane operator and logging truck driver.

Howard also worked for the Boeing Aircraft Company in Seattle as a machinist, in construction throughout the western states and as a long-haul trucker.

As a Libby businessman, Howard owned and operated King Pizza and worked as a realtor for Ryan Realty.

Survivors include his wife Raquel, Libby; his children, Coreena Taylor, Kalispell; Brent Orr, Libby, and Angela Mikkelson, Hawley, Minn.; his mother Charlotte Orr, Libby; brothers and sisters, Herb Orr, Libby; Nancy Adams, Moyie Springs, Idaho; Marie Parker, Rob Orr, Janie Kvapil, Margaret (Maggie) Doubek and David Orr, all of Libby, and grandchildren Melissa, Melanie and Kelsey.

He was preceded in death by his father Ed Orr and his sister Susan Orr Mavity.

Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Wednesday at Christ Lutheran Church with Pastor Les Nelson officiating.

Interment services will follow at the City of Libby Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Nelson & Vial Funeral Home from 3-8 p.m. on Tuesday.
