Rose Holzer

Rose R. Holzer, 82, of Libby, died Feb. 1, 2005, at St. John¹s Lutheran Hospital.

She was born on March 2, 1922, at Strasburg, N.D., to Christian and Regina Faith and was raised and educated in North Dakota.

Rose lived at Bismarck, N.D., and later at Yakima, Wash., before moving to Libby in 1974.

She worked as a waitress and cook at the Ten Pin Café and the Husky Café for many years.

She enjoyed being a mom and grandma most of all. She also enjoyed cooking, playing cards and taking trips with her family to pick wild berries.

She is survived by seven children, Tony Holzer and his friend Bobbie, Libby; Robert Holzer and his wife Shirley, Bismarck; Jolene Steiger and her husband Butch, Libby; Patrick Holzer, Fairbanks, Alaska; Patricia Holzer, Donald Holzer and his wife Judy and Donna Lindsay and her husband Duane, all of Libby; her twin sister Anna Marie Vogel, Yakima, Wash.; brothers John Faith and his wife Marie, Yakima; Larry Faith and his wife Bee, Naches, Wash., and Ray Faith and his wife Barb, Yakima; 14 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Rose was preceded in death by three children, Angeline, JoAnn and Gene, and two brothers.

Services will be conducted at 3 p.m. on Saturday at the Nelson & Vial Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon David Weisbeck officiating.

Friends may call at the Nelson & Vial Funeral Home Chapel from 3-8 p.m. on Friday.
