Henry Holter

Henry Holter, 67, died on Thursday, Jan. 27, 2005, at Libby.

Born at Cloverton, Minn., to Edward and Marget Holter, Henry was raised and educated at Sandstone and Finnlayson in Minnesota.

He married Karen Britton of Sandstone.

They came to Libby in 1964 and Henry worked as a mechanic for the J. Neils Lumber Company, Spencers¹ 66 Service and Higdem Ford.

He later moved to eastern Montana, working on farms and ranches until returning to the Libby area.

He married Sue Kateley on May 22, 1979.

Henry most recently worked in the housekeeping department of St. John¹s Lutheran Hospital.

Although he and Sue were separated, they remained good friends and she cared for him during his final illness.

Survivors include his children, Mary Wolfe and husband Tracy, Meadow, S.D.; Craig Holter in South Dakota, and Curtiss Holter, Alexandria, Minn.; step-children Karla Tyner and husband Duane, Libby; Becky Waite and her husband Tim, Great Falls, and Danny Kateley and his wife Cara, Libby; sister Jeannette Golla of St. Paul, 14 grandchildren and one great-grandchild as well as several nieces and nephews including Valerie Albert, Ken Gustafson and Corky Pape, all of Libby.

Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at Christ Lutheran Church with Pastor Les Nelson officiating.
