Libby-Troy students behaved spectacularly at successful performance by pianist Roger Wright
To the Editor:
I must let the community know how proud I was of both Libby and Troy middle and high school students at the recent Glacier Symphony Youth Program Concert held on Nov. 18 at Memorial Center.
The guest artist was world-class pianist Roger Wright, who performed for over an hour for them. Their behavior was outstanding and the courtesy and respect shown during the performance was wonderful to see. The students and their instructors should be proud of the impression they made on our guests, who also included John Zoltek, the director of the Glacier Symphony. Way to go students and staff!
The Memorial Center allowed us to extend our usage of the center so that the youth program could be presented in such a nice venue. Our guest artist, who has played all over the world, was impressed with the facility, the students and his overall experience here in Libby.
The Lincoln County Community Foundation appreciates all who sponsored, bought tickets and helped in any way with our presentation of the Glacier Symphony. Our mission is to enrich and benefit the community with grants and projects. Later this spring we will be announcing another round of grants to be given to non-profit organizations in the community. Thank you to the community for helping us do that.
We are looking forward to bringing the symphony to Libby again next year. They really enjoy and look forward to performing in Libby as much as we look forward to their performance.
Happy Holidays to you all.
