Libby Loggers host Wilderness Invitational

The Libby Loggers cross country program hosted the Wilderness Invitational Saturday at the Flower Creek Cross Country Ski Area.

From middle school to varsity, more than 200 runners competed.

In the varsity girls race, senior Aurora Smith was Libby's top finisher in 15th place with a time of 25:38.35. Libby was third in the team standings.

In the varsity boys race, junior Greysen Thompson was the Logger's top runner, placing 17th in 18:37.67. Libby was sixth in the team standings.

Libby excelled in the middle school races, 1.5 miles in length.

The boys were team champs as they had the top three finishers and five of the top seven. Loggers eighth-grader Colter Anderson won in 9:35.96.

For the girls, Libby seventh-grader Capri Farmer was the winner in 10:43.21. The Lady Loggers were fourth as a team.

In the girls junior varsity race, sophomore Taylor Greene was fourth. In the boys, Cael Schwindt was 20th.
