Paul W. Miller, 87

Paul W. Miller, 87, died at his home in Libby on Oct. 23, 2021. He was born and raised in Montana's Mission Valley, graduating from Ronan High School with the class of 1952. He served two years with the U.S. Army before moving to Libby to work many years in the vehicle maintenance department for J. Neils, St. Regis and Champion.

Paul was a gifted vehicle mechanic, spending most of his years in the motor room. In his final few years with Champion he was part of the facilitating team. He was a member of the St. Regis Fire Department and a board member of the Lincoln County Rural Fire Board as well as the Kootenai Valley Federal Credit Union.

Paul is survived by his wife, Virginia; daughter, Nancy (Darryl) Baker of Bozeman; son, Todd (Anne) Miller of Corvallis, Ore.; grandchildren, Levi (Hyunji) Baker of Camas, Wash., Emily Baker (Graham Savio) of Cincinnatus, N.Y., Andrew Miller of Corvallis, Ore., and Jacob Miller of Salt Lake City; and great-granddaughters, Sienna and Alaina Baker, and great-grandson, Alby Baker Savio.

No formal service is planned. Cremation has taken place and Paul's final resting place will be in the Ronan Cemetery and somewhere in his beloved Cabinet Mountains. Arrangements are by Schnackenberg Funeral Home in Libby. Online condolences and memories may be shared at www.schnackenbergfh.com.
