Robert Allen Robinson

| June 29, 2021 7:00 AM

Robert “Bobby” Allen Robinson of Duvall, Wash., went to race with the angels June 11, 2021, after a sudden illness.

Bob was born in Centralia, Wash., on Jan 28, 1960, to Eugene A. Robinson and Mary M. Robinson. He grew up in Troy and Libby Montana.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene A. Robinson and Mary M. Cassidy; grandparents; brother-in-law, John Caves and his beloved dog, Zim. Bob is survived by his loving wife, Cindy Mccullough Robinson, of 22 years; daughter, Kyleigh (Josh) Rogers of Everett, Wash.; son, Derek (Samantha) Robinson of Lynnwood, Wash.; grandsons, Rylan and Jaiden; sisters, Diane Caves of Evans, Colo., Sheila (Craig) Haessly of Canton, Ohio; brother, William (Martie) Robinson of Converse, Ind.; and many, many nieces, nephews and loving friends.

Bob loved cars his whole life — loved working on them and racing them. He was a terrific mechanic and racecar driver. He loved the outdoors and all kinds of animals. He loved taking care of plants as well as fishing with his dad and brother in Troy. He loved his wife, children, family, friends and his dog, Hazel, very much.

He was an avid fan of NASCAR and collected many pieces of stock car racing memorabilia.

Bob was a fighter; he beat stage four throat cancer in 2009. The treatment took a toll on Bob’s body, but with the support and love of his wife, family and friends, he always fought through the pain. He was a real hero in his family's eyes.

He was employed at Cottage Lake Motors of Woodinville, Wash., and Cottage Lake Cars and Trucks of Monroe, Wash., as a top rate mechanic for more then 20 years. He worked with the most caring people he ever met. Peter and Paul were not only his employers, but they became his best friends and brothers. They helped Bob keep doing what he loved and living his dream until his death.

Bob had a loving and kind heart and soul. He would do anything he could to help someone in need. Bob had many friends and was loved by all. He loved racing at the Evergreen Motor Speedway in Monroe, Wash., where he won many trophies.

Bobby will be missed forever by all who had the privilege of being in his life. Words cannot express how broken-hearted his family and friends are. He was so loved.

Until we meet again Bobby. Keep the race alive in heaven Bob.

Final arrangements are by Evergreen Funeral Home in Everett, Wash. A GoFundMe has been set up to help his wife with his final arrangements and medical bills: https://gofund.me/8c139f8d
