Disturbance

A Crystal Lake Drive resident asked for authorities help in removing two individuals from her home.

9:02 p.m.

Disturbance

Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a report of an assault on Minnesota Avenue. The original caller, who claimed to be the victim of the attack, was not onsite and could not be reached via dispatch.

April 28

12:39 a.m.

Public safety

Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputies received a report of an individual driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol. They failed to locate the motorist.

8:57 a.m.

Temporary restraining order violation

Libby police responded to a reported temporary restraining order violation only to later find out it was unfounded. A Wisconsin Avenue resident told authorities that her ex-partner had arrived in a yellow maintenance van and was trying to take her dogs. When the caller brought the dogs inside, the man drove off in the vehicle. Officers located the van and confirmed the man was an employee who was looking for water mains. The employee was not the caller’s ex-partner.

9:06 a.m.

Animal complaint

An East Crystal Lake Road resident told authorities that a stray feline keeps entering his home and injuring his pet cats. He reportedly already had spent a large amount of money on veterinary bills. Authorities gave him the number for the shelter and recommended he borrow a cat trap.

9:36 a.m.

Public safety

A California Avenue resident told Libby police officers that a man in a Chevrolet pickup missing a bed speeds down the street toward the bridge several times a day.

9:45 a.m.

Suspicious person

A U.S. Highway 2 resident asked to speak with deputies regarding several family members living with her.

1:34 p.m.

Harassment, threat, intimidation

A woman reported an incident of sexual harassment on behalf of her boyfriend. The woman told Libby police officers that her significant other was harassed and then followed by another woman. When officers talked to the man, he said a woman waved at him while he was at work.

1:54 p.m.

Disturbance

A caller reported getting kicked out of the car by his girlfriend, who then left the state.

1:55 p.m.

Temporary restraining order violation

A caller reported seeing a man that she has an order of protection against sitting in the parking lot of a closed business. The caller told Libby police officers she was worried that the man was waiting for her.

4:25 p.m.

Drugs, drug paraphernalia

Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a suspicious activity report in the parking lot of an area supermarket. Additional law enforcement personnel were dispatched to help with crowd control.

5:02 p.m.

Property

Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputies collected a firearm that fell from a moving vehicle on East 5th Street.

7:42 p.m.

Disturbance

Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a report of campers shooting guns into the water near the Rock Lake Campground.

11:25 p.m.

Public safety

A Lewis Loop resident told authorities she worried her granddaughter was in danger. The child’s mother was in a bad mood, she said.

April 29

3:25 a.m.

Disturbance

Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a 911 call regarding a disturbance at Bald Eagle Road. Arriving deputies separated the individuals involved.

11:22 a.m.

Animal complaint

A U.S. Highway 2 resident told authorities that an animal tore through his chicken fence overnight. The predator got into the coop and killed 15 chickens.

11:30 a.m.

Criminal trespass

A caller reported seeing four vehicles parked overnight at the Kootenai Falls. Three remained the next day and the caller spotted a campfire going.

12:30 p.m.

Suspicious activity

A caller reported seeing a man on a motorcycle enter a gated driveway near Lake Creek Road by going around the obstacle. No one was home at the time, the caller told authorities. Investigators determined the motorcyclist was the property owner.

1:18 p.m.

Animal complaint

A neighbor reported a Crest Street resident for letting their five dogs run loose. The pets were “messing” with the neighbors’ yards, the caller said, describing it as an ongoing problem.
