Traffic stop
Authorities arrested Scott Albert, 48, for driving with a suspended license.
9:33 p.m.
Disturbance
Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputies investigated a report of a disturbance along Farm to Market Road after a caller reported hearing yelling from a home down the street. He also heard a man threaten to shoot a dog. Deputies cleared the scene after the individuals causing the problem left.

Traffic stop
Authorities arrested Adam Hartsock, 28, for driving with a suspended license after a traffic stop near the intersection of U.S. Highway 2 and Enders Drive.

Disturbance
Authorities responded to a reported bar fight involving five individuals.
3:39 a.m.
City ordinance violation
Authorities issued a ticket for a parking violation during snow removal on Montana Avenue.
4:21 a.m.

Authorities issued a ticket for a parking violation during snow removal on Utah Avenue.
8:58 a.m.
Animal complaint
Authorities found two dogs eating a deer carcass near the intersection of U.S. Highway 2 and Mustang Road. The dogs ran off.

A caller reported two dogs chasing deer near U.S. Highway 2.
8:01 p.m.
Fraud
A Renwood Drive resident reported giving out her social security number during a phishing scam. Authorities advised the woman to contact the Social Security Administration.
8:57 p.m.
Suspicious vehicle
Authorities investigated a potential burglary after a caller reported seeing a dark-colored vehicle pull up to a home on U.S. Highway 2. The vehicle’s occupants got out, tossed several items into the vehicle, which then drove off.
10:43 p.m.
Harassment, threat, intimidation
A U.S. Highway 2 resident reported receiving ominous texts from different telephone numbers, including a message where the sender threatened to kidnap his children.

12:37 a.m.
Disturbance
A 3rd Street resident agreed to turn down his television after a neighbor complained to the Libby Police Department.
11:32 a.m.
Public assistance
A Park Street resident reported her driveway not being plowed properly.
9:22 p.m.
Suspicious person
A caller reported a man cutting across yards near Hamann Avenue and Michelle Lane. The individual was wearing blue jeans and a red hooded sweatshirt underneath a black jacket. He was carrying a walking stick. The caller had never seen the man before and asked for a police patrol of the area.
Jan. 14
5:28 p.m.
Public safety
Emergency responders arrived at Libby High School for a report of a male juvenile suffering from a groin injury and struggling to maintain consciousness. The injured minor was taken to Cabinet Peaks Medical Center for treatment.

Theft
A Mary Lane resident called to report a propane tank stolen from a travel trailer.
9:40 p.m.
Disturbance
Authorities responded to a U.S. Highway 2 residence after receiving a phone call from a “hysterical” juvenile female reporting her father was hitting her sister. The girl hung up after someone yelled at her. Arriving Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputies learned from a neighbor that a man had taken off in a truck. While authorities did not catch the male, they made contact with the siblings, who were moved to their grandparents home.

Fire
Libby Volunteer Fire Department personnel responded to a reported chimney fire on Three Corners Road.

Civil complaint
A West Road resident reported receiving threatening messages from the people who forced her off property she had lived on for 12 years.

7:04 a.m.
Suspicious activity
Libby police arrested an unidentified individual at the city’s Amtrak station after a caller reported seeing a person smoking and drinking inside the structure.
8:58 a.m.
Drugs, drug paraphernalia
Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputies investigated a report of a white, powdery substance found inside of a morning newspaper on West Kootenai Avenue.
9 a.m.
Public safety
First responders arrived at the scene of a downed wire at a snowmobile trailhead in Troy. They reported finding a length of wire of about 500 feet, smoky and burning holes in the ground. Authorities stayed on scene to prevent a snowmobiler accident until a utility company team arrived.
9:52 a.m.
911 call
A pet owner on Spencer Road accidentally activated the 911 function on their watch while carrying a dog through the snow.
12:43 p.m.
Scam
A Dome Mountain Avenue resident reported an online scam to local authorities.
2:12 p.m.
Traffic accident
Libby police responded to a two-vehicle collision near the intersection of Idaho Avenue and 5th Street. No one was injured, authorities said. One motorist was cited for failure to yield right of way.
2:15 p.m.
Civil complaint
An Avenue B resident asked to speak with a Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputy regarding a theft case against a relative. The resident was worried about being accused of being involved in the crime.
