5:14 p.m.

Fish and game

Authorities dispatched an injured eagle found on the side of U.S. Highway 2 near mile marker 58.

6:46 p.m.

Disturbance

Authorities arrived at a White Avenue home after a neighbor reported hearing screaming and yelling. The individuals alleged to be behind the incident departed in a vehicle without license plates, but later returned and continued to argue.

7:46 p.m.

Harassment, threat, intimidation

An individual asked to speak with a law enforcement officer regarding threatening texts.

9:38 p.m.

Suspicious activity

A U.S. Highway 2 resident recently released from detention found the back door of their home open and a bullet inside the home.

10:30 p.m.

Property

An individual reported misplacing a black wallet somewhere between a local supermarket and home.

Public safety

Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputies secured a ride for an elderly woman found making her way down the road with a walker.

Public assistance

Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputies returned a 12-year-old girl to her parents’ home. They found her at another house.

Feb. 7

2:39 a.m.

Disturbance

Authorities responded to Fallen Bear Road after receiving a report of an argumentative man yelling and making threats over the course of several hours. He left on foot, but returned shortly thereafter.

9:10 a.m.

Minor in possession of alcohol or tobacco

Libby police responded to the high school.

11:20 a.m.

Civil complaint

An individual at the former Stinger building requested an officer’s assistance in an ongoing civil issue.

12:13 p.m.

Scam

An individual calling from North Dakota told authorities that an unknown individual contacted her grandfather via phone and claimed to be his grandson. The individual asked for money, she said.

3:25 p.m.

Harassment, threat, intimidation

An individual asked to speak with a deputy regarding a woman who is constantly harassing her by mobile phone. The woman is not to contact her as part of her conditions of release.

4:36 p.m.

Suspicious activity

Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputies investigated a report of suspicious activity at a property along Bobtail Road.

5:07 p.m.

Warrant

Libby police arrested Mitchell Stuart on an outstanding warrant at a local restaurant. He was held on a $235 bond.

5:13 p.m.

Public safety

Libby police arrested John Wesley Boothman Jr. after investigating a report of a firewood truck parked in a manner that made it difficult for motorists to see oncoming traffic. He was arrested near the intersection of U.S. Highway 2 and East Spruce Street.

Authorities charged Boothman with driving with a suspended license, failure to have insurance and failure to report an accident. He was held on a $5,000 bond.

5:13 p.m.

Animal complaint

An individual reported two dogs on the loose near the 100 block of Nevada Avenue.

6:43 p.m.

Animal complaint

An individual picked up two dogs running along U.S. Highway 2 near a local gas station and convenience store. Hearing the news on the emergency scanner, the owner called authorities.

9:13 p.m.

Probation violation

Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Etta Doubek near Pinewood Lane on a probation violation charge.

9:32 p.m.

Animal complaint

A Conifer Road resident reported a missing dog. The owner called back at 9:40 p.m., telling authorities the dog was found after a car struck it.

10:09 p.m.

Traffic stop

Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Bradley Erford Wright after a traffic stop near the intersection of Idaho Avenue and West Oak Street. Wright was charged with aggravated driving under the influence and failure to have insurance.

11:26 p.m.

Assault

Authorities arrested William James Pillans for partner or family member assault after a Troy resident reported that three males beat up her 14-year-old nephew.

Feb. 8

Public assistance

A resident asked to speak with law enforcement about getting her terminally ill mother the best care possible. She was referred to adult protective services.

1:20 p.m.

Public safety

Authorities responded to an Idaho Avenue location after dispatch received five hang-up calls from the building’s elevator. Investigators learned a resident hit the call button while moving furniture.

1:47 p.m.

Suspicious activity

A Griffin Road resident reported returning home to find the front door of their home wide open.

6:46 p.m.

Suspicious activity

An individual reported finding fresh tire tracks and footprints in the snow at a Fortine ranch.

7:10 p.m.

Theft

A Farm to Market Road resident reported that an individual broke into his vehicle and took several items.

7:59 p.m.

Firearms

An individual called from about the seven mile marker of Haul Road to report hearing several gunshots across the river.
