On a roll: Loggers shut out Browning

Carrying their winning momentum from Tuesday’s match against Whitefish, the Lady Loggers beat Browning at home Saturday, 25-22, 25-17, 25-23.

Kylee Quinn finished with 19 of the 22 set assists for the match.

Julia Martineau and Mackenzie Proffitt led the team in kills with eight apiece. Proffitt also led the team with four out of seven aces.

Head coach Samantha Hannah commended Martineau for her leadership sportsmanship and attitude this season.

“Julia has really stepped up as a sophomore and taken a leadership role on this team,” Hannah said.

Hannah added that senior Sheyla Gallagher played well with 7 kills and no hitting errors.

With the win, the Lady Loggers are currently 3-4 for conference play.

Hannah is looking forward to the remainder of the season, “I’m excited to see how far this team can go.”

They play at home against Columbia Falls at 7 p.m. Thursday.
