1:41 a.m.

Suspicious person

Caller reported a motion detector camera on a local business was picking up an unidentified individual “snooping around” the backside of the building.

9:58 a.m.

Suspicious vehicle

A caller alerted authorities to a suspicious vehicle she had seen parked in the Camp Creek area since the start of archery hunting season.

1:36 p.m.

Public safety

A caller alerted authorities to disturbing emails received from an elementary school student.

3:41 p.m.

Missing person

A hunter reported joining a group of friends to go out into the woods near Pipe Creek. One left and headed back to Kalispell, but another one is still out in the woods. The hunter said the missing individual knew the area well.

5:05 p.m.

Animal complaint

Authorities received several calls reporting a black horse on U.S. Highway 2 near mile marker 28. Officials attempted to locate the owner.

Traffic accident

A caller reported a bad traffic accident on the property of his vehicle repair shop.

Traffic accident

A red vehicle collided with a horse on Cedar Creek Road. First responders hospitalized one individual involved in the accident. Officials located the owner of the horse.

6:35 p.m.

Fish and game

A caller reported a dead deer in the middle of the road on U.S. Highway 2 near the state maintenance shop.

8:01 p.m.

Civil complaint

A Cecil Drive resident called to report a male friend who was refusing to return to her a borrowed vehicle.

8:59 p.m.

Suspicious activity

A Powerline Way resident reported an individual spotlighting from a truck behind her residence.

Nov. 5

Fire

7:20 a.m.

A Farmers Flat Road resident reported a fire about a quarter mile south of their home. The caller said it appeared to be a single tree ablaze on U.S. Forest Service land, but could see the flames from their home. The caller later reported that the fire had gone out.

8:26 a.m.

Public assistance

A caller reported receiving threatening messages from their daughter’s boyfriend. The messages demanded money in exchange for the safety of the caller’s daughter. The caller lives out-of-state and requested a welfare check.

9:02 a.m.

Suspicious vehicle

Authorities received a report of an abandoned vehicle on the 500 block of 1st St. The vehicle had sat there for two days with the windows down. Officials were unable to contact the vehicle’s owner.

11:02 a.m.

Suspicious person

A caller reported a suspicious man seemingly taking photographs on East 8th Street. The caller said the individual made customers uncomfortable.

1:13 p.m.

Suspicious person

BNSF personnel reported a suspicious person along the tracks near Southside Road.

1:17 p.m.

Harrassment, threat, intimidation

A woman reported a former landlord for following her to her current residence and engaging in harassment.

1:21 p.m.

Criminal trespass

A Yaak River Road resident reported that a neighbor was destroying items on the caller’s property.

4:45 p.m.

Traffic violation

Montana Highway Patrol arrested a motorist on a driving while under the influence charge near mile marker 65 of U.S. Highway 2.

4:49 p.m.

Traffic violation

A caller reported a vehicle parked in a handicap spot of a local supermarket without a handicap sticker. When authorities responded, the vehicle’s owner told them she had medical issues, but did not bring the placard that day.

7 p.m.

Suspicious person

A Parmenter Drive resident reported a suspicious male lurking near her driveway.

10:02 p.m.

Assault

A caller reported being assaulted after an altercation over a handicap parking spot at an area supermarket.
