INVITATION FOR BIDS LEASE OF STATE LANDS Sealed bids will be accepted by the Montana Department of Natural Resources and Conservation, Ag & Grazing Management Bureau, P.O. Box 201601, Helena, Montana 59620, through November 12, 2019 for a 10-year forest grazing license on the following described lands in Lincoln County. LOTS 1,2,3,4,5,6,7, SW4NE4, W2SE4, SW4, S2NW4: T29N R28W Sec 1, containing 599.43 acres of grazing land. ALL: T29N R27W Sec 7, containing 640.00 acres of grazing land. The minimum bid rate is $555.56 based on a grazing carrying capacity of 43 AUMS at a rate of $12.92 per AUM. All perspective bidders must currently have an existing forest grazing lease/license/allotment with the surrounding State School Trust lands, USFS lands, and Weyerhaueser lands located within this area to be considered as an acceptable bidder for this lease. By law all bids in order to be considered valid must include a deposit in the form of a certified check, cashiers check or money order in the amount equal to 100% of the amount bid for grazing, plus a non-refundable lease application fee of $25.00. The Board of County Commissioners received a Petition from homeowners on October 23, 2019 to change the speed limit from 35mph to 25mph for public safety.
