This past weekend, June 7 and 8, Parker Paulsen organized about 25 volunteers to restore the picnic tables and railings at the Fawn Creek Campground. General clean-up was also provided.

By the end of the second day, the volunteers had donated 260 working-hours to beautify the campground.

The project satisfied requirements for Parker to earn the rank of Eagle Scout.

Parker felt added satisfaction knowing he conceived, planned, organized and managed the project, according to the press release from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Parker’s Scout Troop 1970 is sponsored by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Providing service to others is a major focus of this troop, according to the release.

Parker expressed his gratitude for all of the volunteers, the release stated. He is also very appreciative of Western Building Center, Ace Hardware, and other individuals and entities for providing needed materials.
