Libby TV viewers have a few more channels thanks to the effort of volunteers with the Libby Video Club.

According to club secretary Terry Peck, volunteers Jim and Randy spent Saturday, Aug. 10 at the site on Sheldon Mountain replacing the last two stations that were set to go away. Due to their efforts Libby has two new stations, COZJ (2.1) and AMG (6.1) which replaced KREM and KHQ.

“They got off the mountain before the thunder and lightning storm,” Peck reported. “Unfortunately, there was a power outage in Libby on Sunday which made channel 6.1 go offline. It will take another trip up the mountain to bring it back online. This will be done as soon as our volunteer’s time allows. We appreciate your patience and support.”

According to Peck, Channel 6.1 is AMGTV which is an American family-oriented television network featuring television programming consisting of drama, sports, movies, entertainment, how-to, hunting and fishing, children’s shows, and other features, much of it repackaged from off-network and first-run syndication. The network is owned by the American company Access Media Group.

AMGTV provides programming to television stations in the United States. AMGTV also syndicates several movie packages and music specials to stations outside their affiliate base.

Channel 2.1 is COZI TV which is NBC’s national multicast network that delivers a 24-hour line-up of TV’s all-time best shows and pop culture favorites, featuring a prime-time block of recent comedy hits. COZI TV’s iconic sitcoms include “The Office,” “Frasier,” “Will & Grace” and “The Nanny.” Among the network’s many beloved dramas and action series are “Columbo,” “Murder, She Wrote,” “Little House on the Prairie” and many more.

The Libby Video Club will have a booth at Nordicfest Sept. 13-15. There will be a door prize drawing for a TV antenna.
