The City of Libby will hold a public hearing on May 7, 2018 at 6:00 PM at the Council Chambers - City Hall. The purpose of the public hearing is to receive public comments concerning the following: adoption of the Preliminary Engineering Report Amendment for the water system, the environmental assessment for the proposed project, and submission of grant applications to fund the proposed project. The PER Amendment is required in order to apply to RRGL, TSEP, CDBG, and other funding sources to fund replacement/repair of City water infrastructure. At the public hearing the proposed project will be explained including the purpose,the proposed area of the project, activities, budget, possible sources of funding, any costs that may result for local citizens as a result of the project, and a determination will be made on the environmental assessment. All interested persons will be given the opportunity to ask questions and express opinions regarding the proposed project and its environmental impacts. A Uniform Environmental Checklist and Environmental Review have been prepared and are available from the City for public review upon request. Persons or their agents may appear in person or send written comments to Jim Hammons no later than May 4th, 2018. Copies of the draft environmental assessment are available at City Hall - 952 E.
