Women's League golfing

The Cabinet View Women’s League met June 6 and 13 for their regular Wednesday morning round at Cabinet View Golf Course.

On June 6, the game of the day was fewest putts.

The winner in group ‘A’ was Nancy Hull, and in group ‘B’ was Phyll Mackey. Bobbi Bamford had low gross for group ‘A’ and low gross for group ‘B’ was Anna Guthrie.

Nancy Hull also had low net for group ‘A’ and for group ‘B’ Shirley Chase and Donna Havens tied for low net.

On June 12, “5s” was the game of the day, with the winning golfer having the most net 5s on the front nine. In group ‘A’ Sue Froberg and Bobbie Bamford tied, and in group ‘B’ Marilee Brown and Donna Havens tied.

The group ‘A’ low gross was Barb Mee with 44 and for group ‘B’ was Phyll Mackey with 56. The low net for group ‘A’ was Sue Froberg with 33 and for group ‘B’ was Marilee Brown with 38.

With increasing temperatures, the Women’s League will now start at 9 a.m. on Wednesdays at Cabinet View Golf Course, and they invite any lady golfer to join the group.

The group gathers at the clubhouse any time after 8 a.m. for coffee and a snack. After a round of golf, the group meets for lunch at a local restaurant.
