Linda Claudine Edwards, 73, of Libby passed away Feb. 5, 2018 at her home after an extended illness. She was born in Roodhouse, Illinois on Nov. 21, 1944 to Charles and Alma Lawson. She was the 11th of 12 children.

She married William Everett Edwards in Jerseyville, Illinois on Aug. 24, 1963. Over the course of their 54 year marriage, they lived in several places but moved to Libby in 1975 and considered Libby home for the last 42 years. In addition to raising three children, Linda worked over the years at many places of employment including General Electric, Adams and Co., The Western News, The Venture Inn and Pamida. Her hobbies included picking mushrooms and huckleberries, listening to bluegrass and country music, sudoku puzzles, crochet, playing BINGO and spending time with her grandchildren. Although she enjoyed working, her true passion was being a loving and devoted wife and mother who always chose to put others ahead of herself. She will be greatly missed.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters — Bessie Lockhart (Everett), Helen Ogle (Lexton) and Lois Hendrickson; four brothers — Robert (Bonnie), James, Charles Jr. (Stella) and Harvey (Beverly) Lawson.
