Glen E. Crammer

Glen E. Crammer, 72, of Bull Lake, Troy passed away Monday, Jan. 29, 2018 at Cabinet Peaks Medical Center after a long battle with lung disease. He was born Feb. 9, 1945 in Los Angeles, California to Eugene and Grace (Allen) Crammer. In 1965, Glen married Betty Barnes in West Covina, California. They were blessed with two children, Suzette and Nick.

Glen served in the United States Navy for eight years and the United States Coast Guard for 12 years. He joined the military in 1963 and retired after 20 years of service with tours in Hawaii, Japan, Midway Island and Coast Guard Stations in California, Oregon, Washington, Maine and Minnesota. During his military career he served two tours in the Vietnam campaign, including service aboard a guided missile cruiser and the chemical warfare science ship Granville Hall. Glen was awarded a Navy Meritorious Unit Commendation. Following his retirement from the military, he worked 15 years for the United States Postal Service in Spokane, Washington.

Glen was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Grace Crammer. Survivors include his wife, Betty of Bull Lake, Troy; children Suzette Crammer Armstrong of Spokane, Washington and Nick Crammer of Libby; grandson Christian Crammer; great-grandson Deagan Crammer; and brother Tom Crammer (Debbie).

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the care of Schnackenberg & Nelson Funeral Home & Crematory of Libby.
