Thank you and farewell to the Combined Campaign

| November 10, 2017 3:00 AM

I would like to thank the Lincoln County Combined Campaign Boards, both present and past, for the tireless job of managing the Combined Campaign, every year, since 1978.

I would like to thank the Forest Service and other agencies, organizations, businesses and individuals who have donated money to non-profits through the Combined Campaign over these 39 years.

This is a deep loss to the community, especially to small nonprofits who lack the resources to run big fundraisers and counted on the Combined Campaign donations. I would like to remind the community that Lincoln County still has two excellent organizations who continue to give to our nonprofits. The Libby Community Thrift Shop is an all-volunteer organization that gives its profits, every month, to nonprofits and The Lincoln County Community Foundation, which provides grants to nonprofits from the interest earned from their permanent endowment fund.

Both of these organizations are a lifeline for small nonprofits and organizations who are working to make Lincoln County a better place to live.
