Rob Quist “not just a singer”

| May 5, 2017 4:00 AM

I find it hard to believe that the founders of this great nation and the framers of our constitution intended a legislature of millionaires, billionaires and professional politicians using dark money, attack ads and partial or untruths to gain and hold the position of legislator. I believe they intended the legislators to be “representatives,” ordinary folks from a variety of occupations and backgrounds sharing a bond with their constituents, their values and concerns.

My research on and conversations with Rob Quist have shown me that he is just that, owner of a small business, born in Montana, a lover of the arts who has been to every nook and cranny of this state visiting, listening and caring about people and their hopes, joys and fears, the things we care about deeply. He is not “just a singer,” as some have called him, but an artist having experienced the mountains and valleys of life and skilled at articulating the emotions and heart of Montanans. As his race makes clear, he likes to get out and meet people, listen to them and express his views, and that’s the kind of representative he will be.

In this, as in any political race, follow the money. Rob is not in anyone’s pocket.

Robert Quist is the man we need to represent Montana in Washington.
