The Libby Area Chamber of Commerce is making significant changes to the structure and operation of the Chamber in effort to improve the delivery of service to members. The first of these changes is the creation of five new member-driven committees to assist with management of the chamber.

The five committees are Board Governance, Membership, Marketing & Communications, Events, and Finance.

The Board Governance Committee is the Chamber’s oversight, and will be focusing on Chamber policy and procedures, addressing overall operation and management, and act as the Chamber’s nominating committee.

The Membership Committee will be focusing on Membership services, including member benefits, growth and retention. The membership committee will be managing the monthly chamber luncheons and will be starting an after-hours networking event.

The Marketing Committee will be focused on Chamber’s ongoing efforts to support and promote membership. This committee will oversee the weekly newsletter, regional promotion, and oversee all community outreach. The Events Committee, will be responsible for all the Chamber’s fundraising events. This committee will be focusing on growing current events, and evaluating potential event fundraising opportunities.

The Finance Committee will be tasked with monitoring the Chamber’s financials, establishing and monitoring the annual budget and seeking grant funding for various projects.

The Chamber’s board of directors is looking for members to help fill out these committees and help build a strong, vibrant Chamber for Libby. Individuals interested in offering their time and expertise to the Chamber are asked to send a letter of interest to info@libbychamber.org or to call Myranda in the chamber office at 406-293-4167.
