Tom Thompson and Gail Wasson have passed their ServSafe exams and will be certified professional food managers at Cabinet Peaks Medical Center for the next five years, a news release states. They are the fifth and sixth members of the food services department to receive this certificate.

Thompson and Wasson attended the Food Protection Manager Class — a program designed by the ServSafe organizaion, part of the National Restaurant Association — offered by the Lincoln County Envirnomental Health Department on April 26. The class culminates with an extensive exam covering five categories of food safety that include food safety standard operating procedures, employee hygiene and health and compliance with regulations.

“Through their efforts to take this class, Gail and Tom exemplify yet another level of commitment to being safe food handlers,” Food Services Manager Jenna Foley states in the news release. “These two new certificates are another example of our dedication to operating the best kitchen possible for Lincoln County.”
